Adelaide Film Festival Announces Dates: 5-15 October 2017

17 February 2017

Adelaide Film Festival is now inviting submissions for features and shorts – drama, documentary, hybrid, experimental and animation – for consideration for the 2017 ADL Film Fest program, to be presented October 5-15.

Artistic Director Amanda Duthie and Program Manager Mat Kesting are seeking bold and daring works that push the boundaries of the art of cinema, are diverse and entertaining.

The ADL Film Fest has two Awards determined by esteemed and eclectic Juries – the Feature Fiction Award and the Flinders University Feature Documentary Award. We are proud to partner with Flinders University who has produced amazing South Australian Film Alumni such as Scott Hicks, Sophie Hyde, Matt Bate, Rebecca Summerton and Bryan Mason.

Having gone rogue in 2016, the Adelaide Film Festival will go punk from October 5 to 15, 2017. Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the punk movement, the festival will feature people who embody the disruptive spirit of punk in a carnival of creative freedom.

This is an opportunity to go through the archives and pull out those punk gems – ADL Film Fest would love to know what’s in your collection.

Note to Distributors: as a boutique festival ADL Film Festival provides specialist attention with every selection made and it is the ideal opportunity to premiere films in advance of the summer release and awards seasons.

The closing date is Friday 19 May, 5pm. For more information and to enter visit our submissions page.

Adelaide Film Festival is, once again, thrilled to work with long-standing Principal Partner Channel 9 since 2013, sharing our love of all screen storytelling.
