RAVE REVIEWS AND A STANDING OVATION
The Festival Theatre audience celebrated David Gulpilil with a standing ovation as he addressed the audience from the stage ahead of the World Premiere of his film My Name is Gulpilil Friday 12 March at the Festival Theatre, Adelaide Festival Centre.
Luke Buckmaster hailed the film ‘sublime, humane, elegant’ in his 5 STAR review in The Guardian.
Directed by Molly Reynolds, produced by Peter Djigirr & Rolf de Heer, My Name is Gulpilil was supported by the Adelaide Film Festival Investment Fund presented in partnership with the 2021 Adelaide Festival.
The World Premiere was followed by a retrospective of some of his most important films.
