| Janchivdorj Sengedor trained at the Bers College of Media and Cinematic Arts. He has gone on to be perhaps the most prolific and prominent of Mongolia’s directors. His films frequently demonstrate an affinity for depictions of contemporary youth. Among his best-known films are Oxygen (2010), Bodliin Hulgaich (2011) and Urgeeleg (2014), both of which won Best Film at Mongolia’s film awards. Other films include White Blessing (2017), and Life (2018). The Sales Girl was recently named Best Film at the New York Asian Film Festival. |
