Director Kore-eda Hirokazu, who won the Palme d’Or at the 71st Cannes Film Festival for his film SHOPLIFTERS in 2018, has proved his status as a world-class master. In 2022, he has directed his first Korean film BROKER. This story about people who are brought together by a baby box and who embark on a special journey contains the director’s unique, warm insight into marginalized people.
