Young lovers of film, what can you have in common with Kristen Stewart, Cate Blanchett, Steven Spielberg and Paul Dano? You can be on a film jury!
We are calling for expressions of interest from high school students aged 15 and over wanting to join a film jury under the guidance of Adelaide Film Festival’s Education Coordinator and programming staff.
Jury sessions will be conducted on Zoom and a one-day in-person day of screenings at Palace Nova Eastend during the 2023 Adelaide Film Festival.
In 2023, the Youth Jury will award the Statewide Schools Filmmaking Competition in the following categories.
- Best Primary School Film ($500).
- Best Middle School Film ($500).
- Best High School Film ($500). Sponsored by the University of South Australia.
- Best TikTok by a 13 – 18-year-old ($500). Sponsored by Flinders University.
Jury members will receive four complimentary tickets to film screenings throughout the festival as well as a ticket to attend the Red Carpet Gala event for the announcement of the Statewide Schools Filmmaking Competition winners.
Entries are now closed. Successful Jury Members will be notified by Friday 11 August.
