AFF will use its comprehensive industry and tertiary networks to deliver a hands-on workshop program to give students both a taste of the industry and quality hands on experiences.

Workshops will cover creative and technical skills and will extend into areas such as VFX, XR and games.

The workshops will be held during the festival, however a limited number may be on offer beforehand.

If you can’t make the festival , you can still participate in our workshop program by accessing our online How to Make A Film series.

Train the Trainer (12 February 2020)

AFF will assist teachers to acquire and upgrade their technical and creative film skills so they can better support their students’ filmmaking ambitions. A one-day professional learning program will be run out of the Adelaide Studios.  Register your interest here. You may also be interested in our Teacher Ambassador program.

Q&As, Forums and Panels

In the lead up to the festival, AFF will be busy speaking with its filmmaker and creative guests to develop an interesting array of Q&As, panels and forums to deepen students understanding of the creative process and cultural and industry trends.

Much of the workshop, forums and panel program will be announced with the festival program, and some opportunities may also exist outside of festival dates.
