Introduction
Adelaide Film Festival ABN 37 857 696 177 (herein referred to as “AFF”, “we”, “us” and “our”) is an organisation which is responsible for the running of the Adelaide Film Festival and other events. In performing its functions (including the creation of accounts) AFF may be provided with or obtain personal information from you.
By accessing the website located at adelaidefilmfestival.org you consent to the terms of this privacy policy (including the use and disclosure of your personal information in the manner outlined below). AFF maintains a policy of confidence concerning the personal information it obtains.
We do not collect personally identifying information about individuals unless specifically and knowingly provided by such individuals.
Personal information about you that might be gathered:

When buying a ticket or a multi-pass through our online ticket system
When registering for a free ticket through our online ticket system
When signing up for our e-newsletter
The only details that we will collect are those you choose to supply us with at the time of registering, buying or signing up. AFF has sole access to any data supplied which we will use specifically to provide you with the services you have requested of us, and which will not be provided to third parties.
All information collected by AFF is for the purpose of performing its functions associated with conducting the Adelaide Film Festival. Generally, Adelaide Film Festival will obtain personal information directly from you. This information may include (but is not limited to) your name, mailing address, email address and phone number (Personal Information) and may include sensitive and health information where necessary for AFF to properly provide services to you. If AFF obtains information about you without your knowledge and the law requires your express consent to obtain such information, then you will be contacted by AFF.
Whilst you may choose to deal with AFF on an anonymous basis, as a provider of a wide range of services, AFF frequently finds that it is necessary to collect Personal Information during the course of transactions.
Data collection for statistical purposes
While your personally identifying information is protected as outlined above, we may also, on occasion, collect information about how you interact with our website. This information relates to you as a user and not as an individual, and is used solely for statistical purposes. This information may include your server’s address, top level domain name, date and the time of your visit, pages downloaded and the browser used. No attempt is made to identify individual users on their browsing activity.
The collected data will not contain any personally identifying information about you. We do not link this information with visitors to the site. We gather this data to help us understand which parts of our websites are the most popular, where our visitors are going, and how much time they spend there.
Any personal information AFF obtains is used to help provide an efficient service to you. It also helps in raising your awareness of AFF’s activities in other areas.
AFF may disclose information to service providers retained to perform services on our behalf. Where information is shared with third parties, they are obligated to observe the confidential nature of such information and are prohibited from using any or all of this information other than for the purpose for which it was provided.
AFF may also disclose your personal information to a law enforcement agency if required by law to do so.
Use of cookies
We use a Facebook pixel to measure ad conversions from AFF Facebook ads to adelaidefilmfestival.org.

This Privacy Policy does not cover the information practices of third parties whose websites may be linked to AFF’s website or services and AFF is not responsible for the collection and use of your personal information by such third parties. Online ticket payment
All payments made via adelaidefilmfestival.org go through our ticketing service provider, Ferve. All personal and payment details are stored securely. See Ferve's terms and conditions here.
Consent and opting out
Personal information will only be used or disclosed for direct marketing purposes with your consent. In circumstances where AFF cannot practically obtain your consent, AFF may still engage in direct marketing to you, but will:
a) advise you that you can be taken off the mailing list at any time; and
b) display its contact details clearly in each direct marketing publication.
You may be taken off any mailing list by contacting AFF’s Finance and Governance Manager, or by hitting the “unsubscribe” button in the footer of any emailed communication from us.
Access to your information
If you require access to your personal information which AFF holds, you can request to review such information to ensure that it is accurate and up to date, subject to exemptions allowed under the Privacy Act. If you are not allowed access to your personal information you will be informed of which exemption(s) under the Act prevent such access.
Maintenance of information
AFF takes all reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information it retains is accurate, complete and up to date. If AFF holds any incorrect information, please contact us immediately and AFF will take all reasonable steps to correct it.
All personal information is kept within a secure environment. Information stored on AFF’s computer database is protected by firewalls and requires password access to designated personnel.
If it is reasonably determined that AFF no longer requires your personal information for the purposes provided for under this Privacy Policy, AFF will take reasonable steps to destroy the information or ensure that the information is de-identified.
