What happened to submissions to 2020 AFF Youth?

Due to Covid-19, AFF Youth was canceled.

All submissions for 2020 have been carried over to the 2021 event. Therefore, you don’t have to resubmit to ensure you are considered for inclusion. You will be notified along with all the 2021 entries by mid-June 2021.

What will be the AFF Youth 2021 dates

AFF Youth 2021 will take place Monday 26 July to Friday 30 July 2021.

How to make a submission to 2021 AFF Youth?

All AFF Youth submissions must be made online. The link for online submissions is here.

How much does it cost to submit?

Prices vary depending on category; ranging from AUD$10 to $60.

Who can attend AFF Youth?

AFF Youth target audience is young South Australian students, their teachers and friends and families.

Where will AFF Youth be presented?

AFF Youth will primarily be presented in cinemas in metropolitan Adelaide.

What if I live in regional South Australia?

Opportunities exist for rural and remote regional youth including:

  • Online How To Make A Film workshops are available to assist you in the classroom
  • A small number of zoom mentoring workshops will be made available online for students and classes planning to submit to the SA State-wide School Filmmaking

Competition

  • All rural students can submit to the Statewide Filmmaking Competition
  • Jury opportunities are reserved for rural and remote students and young people.
