Marketing Manager

We are seeking a passionate, energetic and strategic Marketing Manager to lead the marketing and communications efforts. In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement integrated marketing strategies, drive audience attendance, enhance our brand, and elevate the Festival's national and international profile, along with building the brand and growing the festival's audience locally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies encompassing branding, advertising, digital marketing, and content creation.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maximize media engagement and box office sales.

  • Oversee production of marketing collateral and manage AFF's digital presence.

  • Lead market research initiatives and contribute to event evaluation to enhance future programming.

  • Working closely with a small core team and reporting regularly on key marketing metrics to the leadership team.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualifications: Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Experience: Proven success in developing and delivering marketing strategies and managing budgets. Experience in the arts or festival environments is highly desirable, along with experience in film marketing specialisation would be helpful.

  • Skills: Exceptional communication abilities, strategic thinking, and strong analytical skills. Proficiency in digital marketing platforms and design tools is a plus.

  • Personal Qualities: A collaborative, positive attitude and a passion for screen culture, coupled with excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

  • Flexibility: The ability to work out of hours, especially the lead up to and during the Festival
