Acknowledgement of Country

Adelaide Film Festival acknowledges that we work and celebrate screen culture on Kaurna Country. We pay our respects to Kaurna Elders past, present and emerging and recognise their culture, beliefs, and relationship with the Adelaide Plains. We would also like to acknowledge Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia as the first storytellers.

Best of the Fest screening films announced

Festival Director Amanda Duthie announced today the list of films that will make up the Festival’s “Best of the Fest” program, which will include audience favourites, Tracks, One Eyed Girl, Charlie’s Country, Once My Mother and 52 Tuesdays. These films will screen back-to-back on Sunday, at Palace Nova Cinemas.

Of the “Best of the Fest” program, Ms Duthie said today: “Audiences are responding incredibly well to the Australian slate in the festival – and we are delighted to be able to give those who missed out, a further opportunity to see this array of fine films for the 'Best of the Fest' screenings."

“Local film One Eyed Girl has another chance to show its quality story telling to Adelaide audiences. Once My Mother has resonated with audiences with its quiet strength. Charlie's Country, a collaboration between Rolf de Heer and David Gulpilil, was the first standing ovation of the festival. 52 Tuesdays is a local film with huge appeal – two sell out shows has meant we want to show it to those who missed out on this extraordinary work; and we are thrilled to be giving audiences another chance to experience Tracks.”

The “Best of the Fest” program at Palace Nova Cinemas, this Sunday October 20:

Once My Mother – 11.15am

Tracks – 1pm

One Eyed Girl – 3.30pm

Charlie’s Country – 6pm

52 Tuesdays – 8pm

Tickets are available online, by calling our Box Office on 7070 0999 or by visiting them 10am-10pm at 6 Cinema Place, Adelaide.
