An immersive moving image collaboration by Naina Sen (NT), Naveed Farro (Vic) and Harrison Hall (Vic) reimagining the cultural connections between West and South Asia. Inspired by the communal and secular atmosphere of the courtyard of the Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Dargah - a significant Sufi shrine in Delhi, India - the work celebrates the pluralistic, contemporary legacies of Indo-Persian architecture and Sufi poetry, dance and Qawwali music.
منّت mannat was developed at AFF Expand Lab 2024 and was awarded the third and final AFF Expand $100,000 Moving Image Commission. AFF Expand Lab is an initiative of AFF in partnership with Samstag Museum of Art, Illuminate Adelaide, Art Gallery of South Australia and supported by The Balnaves Foundation and CreateSA.
