Based at various locations in Adelaide. Venue Coordinators will be rostered according to the Festival’s requirements between Wednesday 14 October and Thursday 29 October.

The Adelaide Film Festival is seeking Expressions of Interest from motivated and experienced individuals to join our team as Venue Coordinators for the delivery of the 2026 Adelaide Film Festival. This role will: 

  • Facilitate the smooth running of AFF venues 

  • Supervise, support, and allocate tasks to volunteers, including ticket scanning and ushering 

  • Coordinate AFF volunteers and liaise with venue staff to manage audience flow into and out of screens, with an emphasis on orderly queue management and assisting patrons with access needs  

  • Coordinate communication between the volunteers and patrons to ensure audiences are kept informed 

  • Liaise with AFF and venue staff to coordinate daily schedules and schedule changes  

  • Respond to and resolve customer complaints and queries  

  • Pre-show checks and microphone management for introductions and question and answer sessions  

  • Attend the commencement of all screenings and report any audio or vision issues at the beginning of a screening to the projectionist if required  

  • Produce daily venue reports and file incident reports 

  • Attend briefing session prior to the commencement of the Festival.   

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working in a front of house and / or stage management role at busy events and festivals 

  • Proven customer service experience 

  • Ability to identify crowd bottlenecks and work with a team to manage queues
