Marketing Manager

Are you a passionate marketer with a love for cinema? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? Adelaide Film Festival is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Manager to join the team. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in marketing and a deep understanding of the Australian film industry.

As the Marketing Manager, you will play a critical role in promoting our festival to audiences around the globe, creating awareness and driving ticket sales. If you’re excited by audience development and have experience in developing niche marketing campaigns informed by data, we want to hear from you!

Working in a small, supportive team environment, this role is suited to a self-starter with initiative and a sophisticated understanding of cinema and festival audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the Adelaide Film Festival
  • Collaborate with the programming team to identify and target key audiences for eachfilm and event
  • Coordinate with an external creative agency and an external advertising agency;
  • Manage the festival’s digital promotion, including social media accounts anddevelopment of content to engage with our audience
  • Work with external partners to develop co-marketing initiatives and cross-promotions
  • Develop and manage advertising campaigns across a range of platforms
  • Analyze marketing data and adjust strategies as necessary
  • Manage the festival’s website and ensure all content is up-to-date and engaging
  • Manage the festival’s marketing budget
  • Collaborate with the sponsorship team to ensure sponsor deliverables are met
  • Manage a small team of marketing staff, interns and volunteers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in film, the arts orentertainment industry
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their use in marketing
  • Experience in managing a team and working with external partners
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends, particularly during the festival period
