Are you a passionate marketer with a love for cinema? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? Adelaide Film Festival is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Coordinator to join the team.

As the Marketing Coordinator, you will help implement AFF’s festival marketing strategy, connecting all aspects of our program to audiences, creating awareness, and driving ticket sales.

This role is suited to candidates with creativity, initiative and a sophisticated understanding of cinema and festival audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning, implementation and monitoring of digital and social media strategies.
  • Content creation, including writing copy and basic design, photo and video editing.
  • Liaising with media partners, cinemas, printers, publicists, audiences and film industry.
  • Coordination of marketing interns, volunteers, and contractors.
  • Other responsibilities as outlined in the position description.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Media, Arts, Film or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in film, the arts or entertainment industry.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills — written, verbal and digital.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their use in marketing.
  • Experience working with a team and external partners.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends during the festival period.

Content Creator (Marketing Assistant)

Contract, Full-time, 4 Months (July – October)

Are you a creative with a love for cinema? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? Adelaide Film Festival is seeking a highly motivated Content Creator to join the team.

As the Content Creator, you will support the delivery of AFF’s festival marketing strategy through a mix of graphic design, copywriting, photo and video editing — in consultation with the Marketing Manager and creative agencies.

This role is suited to early-stage career candidates with a flair for creativity, social media, and an understanding of cinema.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating high-quality communications content for use on social media, website, email newsletters, cinema screens and more.
  • Working with creative agencies, freelance contractors and AFF staff on graphic design, copywriting, photo, video, audio, and animation.
  • Assist with the implementation and monitoring of digital and social media channels.
  • Assisting with the direct marketing program — contacting local audiences, filmmakers and organisations.
  • Other responsibilities as outlined in the position description.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary or vocational qualifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • At least 2 years of experience in marketing or content creation, preferably in film, the arts, or the entertainment industry.
  • Good project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills — written, verbal and digital.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their use in marketing
