Loving Vincent 15+, unless accompanied by an adult
South Australian Premiere
“Quite astonishing.” (The Independent)
This loving tribute to the work of the great Van Gogh takes the form of an attempt by one of his portrait subjects, Armand Roulin, to deliver his final letter to his brother Theo. The search for the truth of Vincent’s death leads through the most famous canvasses now rendered in hand-drawn animation that highlights the intensely luscious brushstrokes of the original paintings. Featuring voice talent including Chris O’Dowd and Saoirse Ronan, this was one of the revelations of the Annecy Animation Festival, winning the top festival prize.
