The country comes to the city for AFF and Channel 9’s McLeod’s Daughters Day

Relive your favourite episodes of McLeod’s Daughters on Sunday, October 13

In a celebration of its partnership with the Adelaide Film Festival, Channel Nine is bringing Drovers Run to its Tynte Street studio for a special event: McLeod’s Daughters Day.

Special guests Simmone Jade Mackinnon and Michala Banas will present their favourite episodes of McLeod’s Daughters, one of Australia’s most popular TV dramas, in two sessions with fans on Sunday, October 13.

Fans of the series, which won eight Logie Awards, are invited to register now to secure their place, with each free session limited to 150 people.

Guests will enjoy country-style food and hear “straight from the horse’s mouth” what life was really like for the big cast on Drovers Run. They will have the chance to win an all-inclusive weekend getaway at Kingsford Homestead – the television home of McLeod’s Daughters which is now an award-winning, luxury country retreat on the edge of the Barossa Valley

Mackinnon played audience favourite Stevie Hall in 154 episodes of the classic series.

“I love SA. I loved living there. I loved the people. I loved the countryside and let’s not forget about the wine.

“I’m looking forward to reconnecting with some of the wonderful and very supportive McLeod’s fans and revisiting the old homestead. It’s going to be one very special weekend,” she said.

Banas joined the cast in 2004 as Kate Manfredi and loved her three years on the series.

“I loved the people and all the animals I had the privilege of working with. I remember being so nervous and anxious before I moved to Adelaide, and it ended up being one of the most fun experiences of my career,” she said

McLeod’s Daughters was the first prime-time drama series to be filmed entirely in South Australia. The series was a co-production between Millennium Television and the Nine Network and produced with the assistance of the South Australian Film Corporation.
