In a near dystopian future, a plague has ravaged the land, human reproduction is a thing of the past, the centre cannot hold and anarchy reigns. Everyone’s on the run and there’s no place left to hide. Mac is forced to do delivery runs for an unseen manipulator. Aliah, the last mother in Australia, seizes her opportunity and her baby, and runs for sanctuary. Together, Mac and Aliah form an unlikely alliance as they desperately seek to elude a relentless pursuit.

This taut and stylish thriller is the work of local director Stephen de Villiers (The Burnt Half, AFF 2023) and brings together some favourite actors (Callan Mulvey, Nicholas Hope) with a host of emerging talent. The South Australian locations provide an appropriately harsh backdrop for white-knuckle suspense.
