Hotel Mumbai cast members Armie HammerDev Patel and Tilda Cobham-Hervey will jet to Adelaide Film Festival for an exclusive appearance at the Australian Premiere of the film!

Together with South Australian director/co-writer Anthony Maras, co-writer John Collee and producers Julie Ryan and Joe Thomas, the cast members will walk the red carpet at the festival Opening Night Gala on Wednesday 10 October.

The Australian Premiere of the Adelaide Film Festival FUND-supported feature, which tells the astonishing story of those trapped in the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in the 2008 attacks, comes hot on the heels of the celebrated World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

“Hotel Mumbai is a film that the festival, through the Adelaide Film Fest FUND, is so proud to have supported with investment," says festival CEO and Artistic Director Amanda Duthie. "We can’t wait to have the cast and creatives come back to Adelaide, where it all started, for what will be an unforgettable Australian Premiere event.“

It will be the first time cast and creatives reunite in Adelaide since the film was partially shot in Adelaide in 2016. "Before heading to Mumbai for the Indian leg of our production, it was in Adelaide that our shoot began and it’s such an honour to have our incredible cast back in my hometown for our Australian premiere," says director and co-writer Anthony Maras.

“Local cast and crew played a big part in the making of Hotel Mumbai - this represents the diversity and talent we have here in South Australia," says Minister Pisoni, the South Australian Minister for Industry and Skills. "It’s great that Adelaide director Anthony Maras, the film’s stars Armie Hammer, Dev Patel and Tilda Cobham-Hervey can join the wider arts industry for the Adelaide Film Festival Opening Night on October 10 and I wish the festival every success.”

Q & A screening with cast and creatives
