AFF in the Burbs – films on the big screen in your backyard

AFF is bringing the cinema to you

...and the best part is, tickets are FREE! To keep this event COVID-safe we are currently only taking registrations of interest with tickets allocated based on capacity.

Adelaide Film Festival is bringing the Festival to Marion at two locations at Warriparinga Wetlands Saturday 26 September and Hallett Cove Saturday 3 October. Gates open at 4pm for an afternoon of tasty street food treats and entertainment, followed by great movies on the big screen at 6.15pm each night, delivered in a family friendly and socially distanced safe atmosphere. A great activity for the whole family!

In Warriparinga Wetlands attendees will be treated to The Personal History of David Copperfield (PG). AFF favourite, Dev Patel (Hotel Mumbai, Lion) plays the young David Copperfield who dreams of a better life in this fun comedy-drama inspired by the Dickens classic.

In Hallett Cove audiences can escape to a mysterious island with Wendy(M) a sumptuous re-working of Peter Pan from the director of Beasts of the Southern Wild.

Get ready for a cosy evening in your comfiest jumper, wrapped up in a blanket and snuggling up under the glow of the big screen.

An open-air outdoor cinema is a perfect place for a COVID safe evening. AFF in the Burbs is free but bookings are essential with limited capacity to meet social distancing requirements.

AFF in the Burbs is running just before the 2020 Adelaide Film Festival, held from 14 – 25 October. The Festival will present twelve days of bold, inspiring and entertaining stories from Australia and around the world. Passes on sale now.
