Artist Lynette Wallworth uses contemporary screen technologies to trigger the most essential of human responses. Here she creates a world of unseen beauty through the most portable of small screens – the mobile phone.
Using an Augmented Reality app, Wallworth unravelled a puzzle that took the viewer to the cosmos and brought them back to our complex, fragile and familiar ecosystem. It was the first stage of an eighteen month odyssey which culminated in a global transmedia work, coinciding with the Transit of Venus in 2012.
