Sit Down Shutup and Watch Film & New Media Festival – Best of SDSW!

Come join us for this amazing opportunity to see works by film-makers with learning disability from all around the world on the big screen! Short films which span comedy, documentary, animation and even thrillers will be lighting up the screen with exciting new authentic storytelling.

The SDSW 2020 Festival includes an international selection of film-makers from: Canada, Serbia, Luxembourg, Poland, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, USA, UK, and Australia. Come see the best selection from over 500 entries.

Coinciding with our partner, Adelaide Film Festival, the full 2020 Sit Down Shutup and Watch Film & New Media Festival will be held over 14 – 25 October streamed online in a Covid-safe and accessible worldwide way, with introductions from the SDSW Committee and live chat.

This year’s SDSW theme is named after a new project we are launching at the Festival called, Virtually Together, a virtual reality world, accessible online, where participants become ‘players’ who can interact to WATCH / BUILD / CHAT together. As we all imagine the world we want to live in post-Covid, the SDSW committee have taken the bold leap to start building a world we want, right now, in a virtual space. We can’t wait to build it with you.

Virtually Together is a collaboration between SDSW and BRIGHTBLACK UK, one of Europe’s leading Virtual Reality creators, funded by the Richard Llewellyn Deaf And Disability Arts Grant. The SDSW is a 100% learning disability led film festival powered by Tutti Arts.
