A deep dive into the fascinating life of fashion and costuming royalty.

From Carrie Bradshaw’s fabulously ridiculous tutu in Sex and the City to Miranda Priestly’s white power quiff in The Devil Wears Prada, Patricia Field has created some of the most iconic looks on screen. A beloved visionary ablaze with fire-red hair and gravelly cigarette-soaked voice, Field doesn’t follow trends – she sets them. Her legendary self-titled NY fashion boutique ran for 50 years. A haven for underground artists, misfits and nightclub kings and queens in the 80s, it was a hot spot for new designers and celebrities alike. With a celebrated second career and reinvention in later life, Field is now in her 80s and still making her mark on the hottest new shows (Emily in Paris, Younger). Her process is fascinating, mixing and matching bold colours and brash prints in pursuit of what makes her happy. This lively documentary features interviews with friends and fans including Sex and the City stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall.

“Beautifully capsulated chronicle of a fashion rebel.” (The Curvy Critic)

“… an intriguing snapshot of a creative force who can mix patterns and colors more fearlessly than anyone in the business.” (The Wrap)
