One of the most anticipated and controversial films of the year, Bones and All took out the Silver Lion award for Best Direction at the 2022 Venice International Film Festival.

Now Adelaide audiences can join insatiable young lovers Timothée Chalamet and Taylor Russell on a visceral road trip across America in this star-studded romance, described by The Guardian as, “A heartbreaking banquet of brilliance.” The wild ride tails Maren (Russell), a young woman learning how to survive on the margins of society, and Lee (Chalamet), an intense and disenfranchised drifter, as they join together for a thousand-mile odyssey which takes them through the back roads, hidden passages and trap doors of the rough 1980’s hinterland. Despite their best efforts, all roads lead back to their terrifying pasts, their unnatural appetites and a final stand that will determine whether their love can survive their otherness.

Bones and All boasts an incredible cast including Mark Rylance, Francesca Scorsese, Chloë Sevigny and Michael Stuhlbarg, and has been hailed by critics as “Gritty, lush, sensual and deeply cinematic” (RogerEbert.com).
