Moussa SENE ABSA

Moussa Sène Absa was born in Dakar in 1958. After acting and playwriting he turned to filmmaking, and since 1988 has directed more than a dozen features, including Ken Bugul (1990), Tableau Ferraille (1995), Madame Brouette (2003) and Yoole (2010) which have won prizes at the major African festivals of Carthage and Ouagadougou as well as the Silver Bear at Berlin. He has also composes music and has had exhibitions of his paintings throughout Africa, Europe and North America.
