Maryna Er Gorbach was born in the Ukraine in 1981 After studying in Kyiv National I. K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema & Television University (Ukraine), she graduated from Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing (Poland). She is married to Mehmet Bahadir Er, with whom she frequently co-directs. Previous films include Black Dog Barking (2009) No Ofsayt (2009), Love Me (2013), and Omar and Us (2019). Klondike has thus far won prizes at seven film festivals around the world.
