Betania Cappato

Betania Cappato was born in Colastiné, Province of Santa Fe, Argentina, in 1984. She is a photographer and filmmaker having studied at the Santa Fe Institute for Cinema and Audiovisual Arts. As a screenwriter, producer, director’s assistant and artistic director, she has participated in various films and TV programs, as well as educational and socially transformative projects within her photography.

Following the premiere of her documentary Frankie at the DOCBSAS in 2018, Betania has directed her first fictional feature film, A School in Cerro Hueso. At the moment, she is working on the production of her next movie, co-directed by Adrián Suárez, The Ant Woman.
