Festival Director Amanda Duthie announced today the list of films that will make up the Festival’s “Best of the Fest” program, which will include audience favourites, Tracks, One Eyed Girl, Charlie’s Country, Once My Mother and 52 Tuesdays. These films will screen back-to-back on Sunday, at Palace Nova Cinemas.
Of the “Best of the Fest” program, Ms Duthie said today: “Audiences are responding incredibly well to the Australian slate in the festival – and we are delighted to be able to give those who missed out, a further opportunity to see this array of fine films for the ‘Best of the Fest’ screenings.”
“Local film One Eyed Girl has another chance to show its quality story telling to Adelaide audiences. Once My Mother has resonated with audiences with its quiet strength. Charlie’s Country, a collaboration between Rolf de Heer and David Gulpilil, was the first standing ovation of the festival. 52 Tuesdays is a local film with huge appeal – two sell out shows has meant we want to show it to those who missed out on this extraordinary work; and we are thrilled to be giving audiences another chance to experience Tracks.”
