A Man of Integrity 18+
South Australian Premiere
A film of immense courage and defiance.
Mohammad Rasoulof remains one of the bravest and most outspoken opponents of the Iranian government. His arrest and imprisonment has done nothing to silence his outraged denunciation of the corruption that underlies all levels of public life in Iran. This outrage burns more fiercely than ever in this story of Reza, an honest man whose fish nursery is targeted by a large, well connected company who refuses to accept that in his country one is either an oppressor or one of the oppressed. Shot in secret in the north of the country, Rasoulof is still working with the threat of a return to prison hanging over his head, a fact that makes this film an even more impressive achievement.
“A tense, enraging drama about corruption and injustice” (Variety)
